Assembly of glass skylights Muzeum Susch, Graubünden
In 2018, a museum for contemporary art will open in Susch in the Lower Engadine. The project is financed by the richest Polish woman - Grazyna Kulczyk. The project involves the conversion of an old brewery into an art museum with an artists' house, library, bistro and hall.
Glas Trösch has been commissioned to design and produce five very special glass skylights. These were assembled by our own assembly team on May 17, 2018. The glazing has a novel construction with integrated drainage channels and will appear flush with the sheet metal roof in the final construction. A lot of daylight enters the interior through the inner and completely sloping soffits!
From now on you can choose from new shapes, either „Smartphone“ shaped corners or ellipse.
Available formats (mount cut-outs):
- „Smartphone“: to approx. 4.50 x 1.80 m
- Ellipse: 1.20 x 0.58 m or 2.00 x 1.06 m
Assembly object Hünenberg-See
Eight round skylights were installed in a single family house in Hünenberg, Switzerland on the 3rd of April 2017. The largest has a diameter of 3.13 m! The others vary from 1.05 to 2.10 m, partly with laminated safety glass (over open seating area) and partly with triple-glazed Sun Stop (over the living room area).
The installation on site has taken place with the on-site crane of the builder. If no on-site crane is available, a pneumatic crane can be used, or depending on the installation situation and glass weight – a crane truck is another solution.
